The group’s first preprint is now available on bioRxiv: Topologically associated domains are ancient features that coincide with Metazoan clusters of extreme noncoding conservation.

This project is what Nathan was working on through much of his time in the group, and has been continuing to finish and write up from Singapore. As a group, we’ve been thinking about the relationship between GRBs and topological domains for a while and we’re excited to share this work now!

The manuscript also describes a computational method for identifying GRBs from CNE density that Nathan and Ge have developed by combining two different approaches. This should be really useful for identifying regulatory domains in new species, and we’re hoping to make an implementation of this method available soon.
