I am a first year PhD student, supervised by Boris Lenhard at the MRC Clinical Sciences Centre. My project is a part of Marie Currie ZENCODE-ITN consortium. During my time here, I aim to understand combinatorial patterns of gene regulation and what are the key elements that trigger change in gene expression during the development of the zebrafish embryo.
Before starting my studies here, I carried out both my undergraduate and M.Sc. degrees in Molecular Biology at The Faculty of Science, Croatia. For my M.Sc. project I looked at possible glycomic and methylomic biomarkers of Lower back pain. For that work I was supervised by Tim Spector and Frances Williams form KCL.
Outside office, I enjoy science popularisation, MOOCs, travelling and culinary experiments (especially bringing failed ones to the office 😀 )
